Wietse Kraakman
Assistant Tax Manager
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam, Wietse completed a master’s degree in International and European Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam. He has been working as an advisor at STP since May 2019 after having completed several internships. At STP, Wietse works in general, national and international practice and specialises in corporate and dividend tax issues.
For me, good tax advice is
Providing appropriate clear advice in the language that suits the client. This means converting the complex language of tax into language that the client understands.
Why STP?
The great thing about working at STP is that you are included in every process from the beginning. At STP you have the space to specialise in the fields you like. And STP is a firm that operates as a real team. So for me, STP stands for “Strong Team Play”.
Advice to newcomers to the profession
Make sure you like the work. I advise you to do internships at different types of firm. This way you will find out if you really like the profession and what does and does not suit you.
