Maurice Willemse

Maurice Willemse completed his Master’s degree in Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam. He joined STP Tax for an internship in June 2022 and came back for long-term in February 2023. His expertise is both national and international tax law and in his spare time he teaches various subjects in the study fiscal economy at the University of Amsterdam.
For me, good tax advice is
That the advice suits the customer’s wishes. The customer must be able to trust that they are in good hands and that I will do my utmost to achieve the best possible result. That is why clear communication, and a structured approach are of paramount importance to me.
Why STP?
The large amount of tax knowledge and experience combined with the pleasant working atmosphere is truly unique. Everyone is very approachable and ready to help you if you need it. They also really know how to motivate you to get the best out of yourself by giving you the responsibility you can handle at that moment, even early in your career. In addition, the drinks and all team activities are always super fun and enjoyable. I felt part of the team right from day one.
Advice to newcomers to the profession
Don’t be too hasty in choosing a specialization. Take the time to discover which sector within taxation you like, so that you really do something you enjoy. And don’t forget to put STP Tax at the top of your list of offices where you would like to experience the amazing atmosphere!
